We need speed zone enforcement in aquatic preserves!

Earlier today at Morningside Park. Speeding Jet-skis, boats and kayaks. What could possibly go wrong? None slowed down next to Picnic Island, a destination for many kayakers and boaters. Also very close to the Mangrove Rookery with over 2000 marine birds, many nesting not to mention families swimming in the bay.

This is in the aquatic preserve. I have video after video. It is so stressful watching this every weekend. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Notice the birds in the water. Sorry its shaky but it was windy and I was on a floating dock.

I interviewed a rep from Morningside Watersports plus the owner of South Florida Water Adventures. They are equally concerned.

We need permanent slow speed zones that are enforced in the manatee zones in the aquatic preserves!
